Imagine the stink if he wins that trophy then gets charged a few weeks later. With the Reggie Bush fiasco still fresh in everybody's mind, that seems risky...

Anybody else who receives a first place vote is a farce.
Winston is the best quarterback in the country and he is on the No. 1 team in the country and his passing numbers dwarf Lynch's despite the fact that Lynch plays in the MAC and didn't even have to play three of the four best teams in the MAC as they avoided the three best teams from the other division.
Winston dwarfs Lynch is passing yards, completion percentage, TD passes, rating --- and he does so despite having LESS attempts and MORE completions.
And I would argue that if he wasn't sitting out in the fourth quarter of a lot of games and had to play whole games, his passing numbers would be even greater and would negate any advantage you think Lynch's rushing numbers give him.
The bottom line is the two guys play the same position and Winston plays that position better in a better conference, against better competition and in bigger games.
Oh yeah, and I have heard people say "I would love to see what Lynch would do against one of those top teams to show how good he is......"
And my answer is this --- "I don't need to guess because I saw it earlier this year when Lynch played against Florida State and let's take a look at what he did -- 15 of 41 for 176 yards, 1 TD, 1 Int and his "running skills" were exposed against a real defense as he rushed for 44 yards on 23 carries (less than 2 per carry) and that number is even inflated cause he had 22 yards on one rush......."
And one other thing - - if Winston were eligible for the NFL draft right now - you think he or Lynch would come off the board first? I know, I know "a guy's pro stock shouldn't come into play" and I agree to a point - but I do think the opinion of NFL scouts as to who is better should have SOME bearing on these things I would be willing to bet 32 NFL scouts of 32 would tell their bosses to draft Winston over Lynch.......
Lynch should get an invite to New York because he is a nice story and has had a nice season, but I repeat - if you vote for him ahead of Winston it is a farce.

Could make the same arguments about FSU missing the best teams from Coastal division, racking up stats against weak competition, etc.
I agree ACC is a step better than MAC -- but then again Jordan Lynch is just looking for a trip to NYC; not to win anything -- and ACC has escaped criticism for years for being slightly better than the Big East and wtf they're called now.

Is the Heisman Trust (i.e. Downtown Athletic Club) really going to follow the criteria of their Mission Statement and award the trophy to the CFB player "..whose performance best exhibits the pursuit of excellence with INTEGRITY..."

Just for the record - I'm not arguing that he should make the trip.
Just thought I should put it in perspective since he's putting Winston head-to-head as if Lynch was ever a threat to actually win the Heisman. Best case scenario was always finishing 3rd for him.
