You might have been quick enough. I was in the process of closing and settling. I had 11:30 pm (Central time) instead of 11:30 a.m, and noticed it after I posted the final score.

I would have abandoned the vBet, and created another thread to give the winnings to those who had bet on Chestnut ahead of time. I knew who they were.

I'll give him credit for being a great competitor - I'm not willing to call these stomach stuffers 'athletes'.

i dont want to call them athletes either but they do train and prepare them selves for competitions and truely isnt that what an athlete is?

so essentially they are athletes.

Athlete ( 'ath-"lEt, ?'a-th&-"lEt )

The word Athlete comes from the latin athleta and the Greek athlEtEs, which mean to contend for a prize, from athlon, prize, contest.
