Who will win the 2007 French Open? (Women)

There wasn't much wagered on this one.

Henin will face Ivanovic in the final Saturday. Henin downed Jankovic 6-2, 6-2; and Ivanovic rolled through Sharapova 6-2, 6-1.

Since you called it a bracket, I would agree with you. :p

:slappy:

They aren't called "brackets" apparently...:p

I was going to put a bunch of vCash on Sharapova, but only because she's hot and she's won something before, but that's the extent of my knowledge...

They're called draws. Yeah, this is a tough surface for Sharapova. Henin always seems to do well here. I think Serena is looking pretty good for a win at Wimbledon.

I did know the French Open was a surface that some people seem to dominate and others can't seem to win. That's another reason I decided against vBetting it...

Well surfaces change everything. Even hardcourts play differently. The French Open is on red clay which is the slowest surface. That is why players like Roddick and Sampras never had/have success here. Wimbledon is on grass and caters to big servers and volleyers. Even The U.S. Open and Australian Open play differently even though they are both on hard courts. But, next year The Australian Open is changing its surface and will be more like the surface used at the U.S. Open.
