On the contrary, it's a suckers bet. 1:24 is horrible. You're better off betting all of your money, split evenly on McFadden and Quinn, for who will finish second, which is paying 6:1.

If you bet 1,000 on this, you'll only get 1,040 back. On the other hand, if you bet 500 each on McFadden and Quinn at 6:1 to finish second, you'll get 3,000 back.
