I don't know about getting robbed, but Old Glory on the Georgetown campus has some wicked BBQ, one of my favorite restaurants when I went to DC for work. You will definately get your moneys worth for a meal there.

Love it. Going to DC for the day tomorrow. First flight in, hearing at 9:30, probably done by 10:30, and the rest of the day is mine.

There is a little place by the train station near the Congressional office buildings that used to sell yards of beer. I think it was the Tabard Inn, but after a couple of yards it gets a little fuzzy.
