It never ceases to amaze me the utter lack of respect for northern and midwestern recruit by Rivals. This is why we always see Southern schools with higher ranked recruiting classes and the norther schools having so many 3* gems, because they are 5* talent but just because they are from the north are not given the right rating. So be happy with the staffs evaluations and realize they know talent better than the biased recruiting sites.

So with the 5 guys on that list with interest:

I think Brewster and Long are our best shots.

We all know about Shugarts and the family's attempt to move to Ohio.

Hale has said all the right things early, and has said that he wants to leave the area (Pitt and PSU) I have always thought PSU was the toughest competition due to the school usually sending their players to PSU, but at this point I would say we have a good a shot as anyone, should be interesting when all the big boys come calling.

As for Tate, he can pick his school. Will easily be top 10 in the country, maybe even #1. At this point we have a great shot at him, but I will stay cautiously optimistic with him being from Maryland and some struggles with OOStaters.

2008 Ohio Top 25

Since it seems like there won't be much more action for the 2007 class i figured we could start talking about the stellar 2008 class in Ohio. I was going to do just a top 10 but there seems to be too much talent just to make a top 10.

What's your top 25 recruits in Ohio?

- Interesting thing here is that outside of the top 5, all the way down to 25 I think there is a legit shot for a majority of the prospects to earn an offer at camp. Then outside of my top 25 you have guys like DeWawn Whitner, Mike Spooner, and that outstanding kicker Ben Buchanan. Ohio is very deep next year. I have seen film on some guys, camped and went to combines with others, faced some in games or scrimmages, but some I ranked by hear-say.
