In an effort to learn more about our beloved Bucks, let's play some "Who am I?".
I'll start:
I was the highest rated defensive player in the state of Ohio during a fantastic year of in-state talent. I was a five-star prospect and the #1 prospect (at my position)in America as rated by theInsiders.com and rated as a top 10 prospect overall by several services. I slowed-up nearly every Buckeye message board server, anticipating my decision. I played in 12 games as a freshman. Recorded seven tackles. As a sophomore, I was a valuable member of my position's rotation, playing in ten games and registering 24 tackles (14 solo) and 3 TFL, but a shoulder injury late in the year that required surgery ended my season early. I played in only 4 games my Junior year (again, due to injuries), but had 13 tackles, 1 sack, with 3.5 tackles for loss. Who am I???
 
I wasn't a big name, but I was a valuable defensive back for the Buckeyes in the mid 90's. I had the best special teams hit (on a punt return) in perhaps ten years of Buckeye football. I played lights out & this particular hit was on a BigTen commercial for almost a year. I didn't start every game until my senior year where I managed 56 tackles and 8 against scUM. I was a highly regarded recruit from Florida & I might make an all-name team list.

If someone gets this, I'll be impressed. If not, then I'll add a hint in a few.

Incorrect. Harley was tOSU's first 3-time All-American, but the seasons weren't consecutive. Pretty sure this was because of World War I going on in 1918.

Before you answer again, it's your thread, but shouldn't we have a rule on this thread that if you're wrong, you have to let somebody else post a guess before you take another shot at it? To prevent rapid-fire guessing.

Chic Harley

Running Back 1916-17, 1919 Charles “Chic” Harley was Ohio State’s first three-time All-American. Harley won All-America honors as a running back in 1916 and ’17. He spent 1918 in the military but then returned to OSU in 1919 and picked up where he had left off, again winning All-America acclaim. In addition to running the football, he also punted, kicked extra points (he used the drop kick) and played defense. Fans turned out in record numbers to watch Harley play. Harley led the Buckeyes to their first Big Ten title in 1916, a repeat championship in 1917 and a second-place finish in 1919. In 1919, he was named team captain. During his three seasons at Ohio State, the Buckeyes posted a combined record of 21-1-1. The Buckeyes played at old Ohio Field during the Harley era. But largely because of his play, Ohio Stadium was built in 1922 and has been known as the “House that Harley built.”
