who assumed what is my question...
they assumed that he would play in 35% of the offensive plays this season. if he doesn't meet that requirement, he loses out on the 5.3 mill. i would guess that win$low and the browns both assumed that this would be a given, and therefore "guaranteed".

They assumed he would hit one of the ten items that would have triggered that bonus. The article says that most contracts say if one of those triggers is not hit in the first year it rolls over into the second year, but his contract did not have that language.

poor winslow... maybe he can live with daddy if he can't afford his own place this year since he won't make his $$$$. They do each others hair and share stories of how he did the Heisman pose.

i just picked up my 9-13 copy of SI and noticed a picture on the cover... winslow with the caption "NFL rookies - who will make a difference?"

the jinx lives on. couldn't have happened to a better person
