That said after a recent visit that we went back to his hotel room across from The Shoe and just stared at it and saying he could imagine himself playing there. I tried all kinds of word and phrase searches and came up empty. Maybe someone can remember off the top of their head who it was...

They used to stay downtown at the Hyatt on Capitol Square. Now I think they all stay at the Blackwell.

Recruits stay at the Blackwell now, which is a huge advantage for the school. The recruit can stay at a luxury class hotel, w/ all the perks, yet be within walking/stumbling distance of all the campus parties w/ his hosts, and, as the poster said, get to look at the Shoe constantly. Sure beats the Red Roof Inn or whatever the hell they have in places like Auburn, Tuscaloosa, Iowa City, and State College..........

actually the campus hotel at auburn was sweet, but the rest of the university sucked
