and they will help mold our future.....

Just think, when we are old and trying to enjoy the end days of our lives.... people like TG05 will be running the country.
Scary isn't it?

Generation X will be just fine, but the youngins of today are not taught discipline and respect like they once were. Responsability will follow suit.

Sadly, I find many freshman entering college far below myself five years ago in terms of responsability and discipline...

I don't think I'll ever be able to retire :shake:

I don't know that I agree with this. If I recall the same thing was being said about Gen X in the early 90's...they have no ambition, they are lazy, they don't care about others...blah blah blah...it is said for almost ever generation since the greatest generation. baby boomers were hippys and druggies and so on. We will be fine, maybe it will take the avg. Gen Y kid a little longer to grow up but in the grand scheeme what is a year or three

-just realized that this may have come off much more harsh than i ment it to....i just think that kids in their 20s are just that, kids. its been that way since at least the baby boomers, we as a society just do not force our kids to grow up as fast anymore, doesn't mean they wont get there

Another reason I've said this is because the newest generation has so many more comforts i life that they don't learn the value of hard work, unless you consider saving LA from crime in a video game.

Hell, I didn't even have half the stuff kids have today and I'm only 23.

Gen X definitely. The last generation to actually put out great music. Kids these days definitely have a sense entitlement that was not present when I was growing up-and seem confused when I tell them the best thing you can do for the community is to do their own job well and hold people responsible for their own decisions.

What the hell makes the Greatest Generation so great? I don't trust them. Those old farts just rub me the wrong way. They fought off the Nazi's and didn't steal all there stuff? Give me a break. If I had been in charge of the big W W 2 we would have taken everything of value out of Germany and Japan after we won. I mean what is there to life besides your possessions? Heck I don't want to rely on them any way. All I care about is me and mine.

Who says we didn't take everything. My guess is that the government held it all for several years until the aliens at Roswell forced Truman into giving it to them....damn Jupiterians

Dumbass, nothing can live on Jupiter. The aliens were from Saturn's moon Titan. The Titonians also made the Oilers move to Tennessee and change their name to the Titans in their honor. As you can imagine they were pretty pissed when the Titan's ended up a yard short from winning the Super Bowl several years ago. They threatened to destroy Earth, but Elvis and Tupac were able to negotiate with the Titonians that they could put one of their young men in an American college so that he could become the next QB for the Titans and take them to the Super Bowl again. As you might be able to guess that young Titonian is Vince Young.

Me Boom

Kids Millenial

You think today's generation has problems just wait until the baby boomers retire. We will consume all the medicare and social security funds. Imagine as millions of old farts sell off stocks and homes. The AARP will be the strongest lobbying group in the country. Than again maybe not.

I am sure someone can find the quotes of some oldtimers talking about how kids had it too easy and did not appreciate things. I think the quote was from the 1800's but it could be used today.

My kids are spolied beyond belief. I do not miss a chance to explain to them that I work to get money to pay for the things they have. When they complain about school I go into the I have 8 years of college story. They have skills, like using computers, that I did not have until college. I hope they can leverage those for a better future.

I had lunch with someone awhile ago who is a very successful, self-made man. We grew up a few miles from each other. He told me how on every other trip back home he takes his kids by the house he grew up in, which was not in a very desirable part of town. He just likes to remind them what hard work can do for you.
