True, but it's not the same experience, there are typically controller interface or emulation speed issues, and some titles simply don't work under emulation because the code for some graphic-subsystem or chip cannot be accurately reproduced. The more realistic alternative is to just buy a reconditioned 72-pin NES off eBay, but that misses the point.BuckeyeNation27;674135; said:you can sit and play them for hours for free on your computer with an emulator also
Recently I downloaded a torrent with 400 roms, and I'd say 95% of them work flawlessly.True, but it's not the same experience, there are typically controller interface or emulation speed issues, and some titles simply don't work under emulation because the code for some graphic-subsystem or chip cannot be accurately reproduced. Typo. I meant Gamecube. Went back and corrected it.Muck; said:Dreamcast? Or was that a typo for Gamecube?
Yes, many of them do, and some do not. Again though, that still misses the point. The games don't "feel" the same sitting at your desk on the PC as they do plopped down on the sofa in front of the TV. You're not exactly going to cram yourself and three friends around your PC to play Mario Kart or Gauntlet or General Chaos or Golden Axe (in case you only have two friends).jwinslow; said:Recently I downloaded a torrent with 400 roms, and I'd say 95% of them work flawlessly.
