I figure Small is a lock pending grads, so I put Larry Grant-stud JUCO LB ready to come in and make an immediate impact. RB and LB are probably the positions a JUCO can come in and make the biggest splash at immediately. Gibson or McCarthy may be better long term, but Grant can come in and contribute immediately-Gibson said in an interview that he needed to RS a year to bulk up.

Have you watched Grant's film? Better take a look at it before you start talkinga bout "immediate impact"...maybe he will coming in early, but he is far from a Big 10 LB right now, based on what I saw on the film.

Troutman - games are won in the trenches, and I'll take a good DL over a great WR 9 times out of 10 (the WR better be truly great, not some "if-come" with 4.4 speed).

I'm a Gibson guy. I think he's as quick as any player I've seen at LB and he's got a nasty demeanor. Not that I didn't love our LBs, but he reminds me of the type of guys FSU and Miami always have at LB that love to hit and kill guys. Attitude is what sets him apart.

My top 5:

1. Thad
2. Ray Small
3. Troutman (I agree with you, LJB, although I'm not completely sold on Johnnie based on film)
4. Derrell Johnson (gotta root for him)
5. Larry Grant
