Deep in the bunker
Miami we are coming! But we know not where to go. What bar or restaurant should we go watch the big game, where can we go to support our buckeyes or see the band? Any info anybody has on a pep rally or press conference, that sort of help would be very welcomed as we are going last minute and haven’t planned at all yet. Even a popular place to stay would be helpful. Whatever info on Miami festivities you got is welcomed. Thank you. We are Arriving Friday mid day and staying through Wednesday.

We're cool, aren't we? I've been on this site for awhile and I'm married to this idiot. I sent him in search of things to do so we can actually gauge if anyone from this site is going and if they had any info on the best places to hang out. Hey, it worked for the Rose Bowl. Isn't that kind of the point of this place?!

Yes it totally BLOWS DONKEY DICK the one freaking time we have this opportunity, there's a worldwide pandemic. But, I'm fairly certain it's not going to be a ghost town. We're really on the fence about it. But, everyone's saying just spend the money on gas and a cheap hotel bc we might not get this chance again.

ANYWAY.... Perhaps I might get a better response as a longtime member (and 2018 Upset Contest Champion.... that's gotta count for something). If any of you are going, I'd appreciate anything. Hotel. Restaurants. Gatherings of 10 ppl or less. Fuck, there's gotta be something.

Not hating, being honest.

Florida is a hot zone for Covid as well.

You might want to check if they have bar/restaurant curfews like Ohio b/c if they do, I’d save your $$$.

Miami is "slightly less than half open" per my friends there (non football people, though a Buckeye or two, and most still wearing intense PPE daily at work) and they're not exactly in a partying mood.

Expect a pretty subdued city, particularly as the new strain of COVID proliferates, but should the Buckeyes win...... naked beach pictures are required. Enjoy!

If Florida in and of itself is a hot zone for Covid I'm officially screwed. Prob, should've lead with the fact we live in Tampa and it'd be a 4 hour drive. We postponed leaving yesterday night to save on a hotel under the delusion lightning might strike & we could get tix @ the half or single tickets near one another. Or just shell out some cash (been doing pretty well in the market and somehow I pretty much broke even on the Vegas trip).

Downsides: As mentioned we can do almost anything here as there, Covid possibility, etc..

Upside: Already have days off/packed/$$ to do it/I like hotels.

Thanks and if we choose to go I'll give you an update on how the monsters from Bama behave.

We went to Vegas in November bc we had to use our NOLA plane credit somewhere didnt come back sick but perhaps we'd be pushing our luck ( sidenote: Sportsbooks are FUN).

Beach pics promised. Although it's been a little chilly down here the last few weeks. EDIT: Probably better nip pics tho

We're in Tampa (which def isn't Miami) but it's a 4 hour drive and we can still get a hotel room for a reasonable price. Honestly, I might lean toward going just to hang out in a nice room with one of those duvets....
