Right now, I am performing a specific act to a specific thing in a specific place.

A character in a classic rock song performed the same act to the same thing in the same place.

Said classic rock song was a top-40 hit, and it is still in regular rotation on classic rock stations to this day.

The thing was the subject of a hugely popular #1 song from the classic rock era (although the song itself is not considered to be classic rock today).

Where am I and what am I doing?
