bucks4me and I are expecting our third (and last) child at the start of the New Year. So when should I get snipped, a couple days after Christmas for the peak of the CFB bowl season, or the opening week of the NCAA tournament? I figure if I'm going to be in the recliner with a bag of frozen peas on my peas, I might as well schedule it to coincide with something worthwhile to watch on TV.

I hope everyone takes this poll seriously, bucks4me and I look to BP for guidance on many of our important personal and family decisions. :)

Split the difference. Get snipped after the BCS title game, but early enough to enjoy the NFL playoffs.

I don't know, it's been, let's see, yep thirty-three years since I started firing blanks. You know, you have to "relieve" the back pressure now and then after the cut cause you're going to want to know... well, you know, and then they want you to serve something up for inspection until they're sure you're out of ammo, so beer, Cheet-os, remote, laptop porn source... you got a lot on your hands as well as your mind. I'd suggest you consider after the Super Bowl and before the NCAAs start.

Cincibuck, your source for straight shit on the aging process.

I'd go with march madness. You got good games all day long (Especially if you wait until the opening of the second round). During bowl season you might be forced to watch one of the many toilet bowls.

Do you have a job where you work M-F during the day? If so, then no brainer the NCAA tourney. If you work a job where you have to work 2nd or 3rd shift, gotta go with Bowl Season. Gotta figure out what you'd normally not be able to watch and then choose accordingly.

This is an excellent point. There's a very good case for taking the week off for the first two rounds of the tourney.

What are you talking about. You should be playing hockey later that night. :wink2:

You should not be out of commission for more than a day or so. I had mine on a Friday went out Saturday night and played golf on Sunday. It was a little tight, but no issues. You will have a little soreness for about a week but I only had Friday evening that was uncomfortable.

That's reassuring, but I've had three or four different guys tell me three or four different things.

I figured I'd take a week and milk my misery for all it's worth. The ideal scenario, of course, is that I'm over it in a day and still have the next four days off to hang out at BW3s and watch sports and play NTN trivia.

I think some of it depends on the Dr., their technique and how long ago they had it done. There have been some big advances in minimally invasive surgery in the past 10 years or so.
