I like it quiet, but I have a humidifier running next to my head so I'm ok with the fan. I've gotten very good at sleeping through crying babies, but other noises will wake me up instantly. Back when I used a radio for my alarm the pop of the alarm turning on was enough to wake me up. Now I have a Fitbit that wakes me up in the morning so there is no noise at all.
