When do you take your Xmas tree down?

Was going to take my down today while watching the bowl games but didn't want to drag it outside in a driving rainstorm.

I know some people who take theirs down the day after Christmas, why the rush I don't know but we usually leaves ours up until New Years.

Ours went out this past Friday. Normally it is up until New Year's Day, but the wife was home and kids were gone Friday so she was able to get everything off the tree without "assistance." I ripped the thing through the front door Friday night and it sits on our front yard waiting to be picked up.

we did a fake tree this year (since wifey was pregnant), so i'll probably take it down tomorrow night, and then the living room can get back to normal.

It's amazing how empty the living room looks after the tree is down. The boys wanted to go and get a new tree on Saturday.

Usually around New Years... my wife took it down yesterday and it was sitting on the curb with the trash to be picked up today... we'll see if it's gone when I get home.
