Whats your Buckeye Happy place?

Hall of Fame
I just had an epihany of what my new "happy place" is...It used to be the waning moments of the 2002 Fiesta Bowl when we sealed the deal...But upon reflection my new buckeye happy place is geared toward the future...One which includes the potential to win national titles in both basketball and football in the same year. And, as long as Tressel and Matta are at the helm we will always be a threat to win both.

Incidentally, what other school has a basketball/ football coaching situation as good as ours? They may be the best duo in the land!
:oh:

Right now, it's a toss up.

The run that's in my signature photo. Notre Dame was getting back into the game a bit and that run was a dagger!

The early hit in the backfield by Hawk against TSUN. When a runner is putting up his hands in submission in the first quarter, you know he is owned big time!

If we're talking that inner memory; a momment in time past that we can recall with such clarity that the same euphoric feelings of true joy and pure bliss can be felt with the same sense of reality as they were when experienced as they occured at that very moment, then it would have to be the second we beat Miami for the 2002 National Championship including the next 2 or 3 hours of celebaration, coverage, and interviews.

But I would also like to submit a real, physical place that gives me such joy and peace that I walk around with permagrin every single time I'm there and usually for as long as I'm there: And that would be @ The Ohio State University (campus, Lane Ave., Ohio Stadium) on a Football Game Day. I pull in my regular parking lot around 7:00 a.m. (doesn't matter if it's a noon game or 8:15 @ night) get out of my truck and stretch and then the smile goes on and a feeling of pure contentment floods my heart as I know it's a Buckeye Football Saturday. :osu:

I couldnt agree more about the general good vibes felt on a game day on campus...I am already jonesing for my annual trip...I guess this feeling is also the reason why I am trying to get a teaching job in the area :)

STEVE19 has a great signature pic!

There are so many, but "The Catch" against scUM this year sends shivers down my spine.

I gotta say my Buck happy place was the football Illinois game when Byers ran out of his shoe. I was sitting in the south stands as a soph. There were a couple Illinois fans two rows behind me, who were in heaven early as the Illini took a big early lead. After Keith finished that day, they were silent. That was the way sportsmanship should be, nobody got on the Illini fans too hard, we just cheered for our Bucks. :oh: :io:

PS it was an absolute travesty when Flutie beat Byers for the Heisman. :(
