Whats wrong in Florida

as bad as central ohio in specific and ohio in general are with the abundant traffic cop presence, the palm beach area is worse. i've lived in palm beach and north palm beach (jupiter) during the winters for the last few years, and i've learned to drive at the speed limit and not much faster. as well, i never... ever drink more than a beer an hour if i'm going to drive later. these cops will find any and every reason to pull you over, especially if your plates are out-of-state. the drivers there are terrible and the nightclub scene is busy, so the presence is necessary. add in the prevalent drug scene, stolen car industry, and the high murder rate; and you can then appreciate having the fuzz nearby. one day while driving through tequesta (borders jupiter on the northeast end), i counted no fewer than twenty cop cars over about a three-mile stretch of a commercial street.

it's also widely believed, and rightfully so, that the cops are in thick with the strip joints/prostitution rings/massage parlors. these establishments are everywhere. they'll make a bust every now and then to meet the quota, but no one has the illusion that there is just a little skin industry in west palm. virtually all, except rachel's (high-end steak and shake club), strip joints have champagne rooms where anything goes.

I just tought that was hilarious.....I've never seen cops do something like that just to catch speeders....If I got pulled over for speeding by Officer Delicious or an elf I would probably get thrown in jail for laughing my ass so much...:slappy:

FLORIDANA BEACH, Fla. -- About $600,000 worth of cocaine washed up on a Central Florida beach Tuesday hours after nearly $500,000 worth of cocaine washed up in South Florida.

Tuesday, Lena McAneney and her friend found a box stuffed with 20 packages of cocaine on Floridana Beach.

McAneney said she immediately called the police.

"It's scary -- there's people looking for it," she said. "People die for stuff like this."

Brevard County Sheriff's Office spokesman Andrew Walters confirmed the discovery. Authorities estimated the drug's weight at 27 kilos and its street value at $600,000, Local 6 News partner Florida Today reported.

Earlier Tuesday on a Hollywood beach, 37 kilos of cocaine were wrapped tightly in cellophane and had likely been at sea for a month before washing ashore, said Capt. Tony Rode, a Hollywood police spokesman.

Rode said drugs are usually dumped into the ocean when people are being chased by the Coast Guard.

Police are investigating both incidents.
