What's really going on - pt. 2

Bleed S & G

Taking Crazy Pills
Ok - I'm going to come clean..

The thread title is in memory of PSU1985

..

Alright, lately I've been (probably overly) critical of our beloved Buckeyes..

Here's my beef just so I'm not perceived as a jerk-off. I'm 21 years old born & raised in Columbus. My grandfather called the games on the radio in the late 60's & 70's. My earliest memories as a kid are in Ohio Stadium. I was raised to hate M*ch*g*n and still get chills when the band comes down the ramp.

I grew up losing to M*ch*gan, watching Eddie George, Orlando Pace, and Terry Glenn. I haven't missed a spring game in years, and now have started a tradition of going to one away game in a Big 10 stadium a year.

I attended Ohio State before going in the direction I have been the last few years. I intend to head back to Ohio State and get at least 2 years under my belt to further my career in the Real Estate world. Telling my old man I wanted to stop college was one of the hardest things I've had to do. Not because of the normal reasons - but because I wanted to represent the family inside the Horseshoe and walk across the grass (now turf) on a sunny day - mid-70's - a few clouds in the sky.

Not necessarily the way I envisoned my experience on the field.. growing up I wanted to be the next Terry Glenn. I had the hands, not the size. Never happened..

With all of that said, I truly bleed scarlet and gray.

In my young age, I thought of college ball as a more "pure" sport. It's been a rough transition for me to realize that is not so pure. This season, with all the behind the scenes crap going on, kinda forced me to realize college ball isn't as great as I once thought.

On a scale of 1 to Gay - I know this post is off the charts towards the Gay.. but just so everyone here knows - I'm just disappointed. I recognize it's my age and ignorance - but I've been bummed out with these "Buckeyes" and seeing that the chance to play in Columbus on Saturdays I would have died for, being disgraced.

I'll chill out on "bashing" players.. but thats the gay story I have to offer.. I'm just disappointed in what really goes on.

I'm just disappointed we didn't get a better quote here to take out of context...

So basicly what you are saying is you couldn't hack it as a athlete, or a student at Ohio State, and you are jealous of anyone who can.
