We already know Ohio State is set to take on those color-stealing Scarlet Knights for a night game in Piscataway. The question is how do we fill our day up until that point? Lucky for you, I am here to let you know about some of the big match-ups around the nation. The bad news, this week’s schedule is a little on the not-so-good side as indicated by Gameday taking their circus of a show to James Madison for their highly anticipated match-up with the Richmond Spiders.

California vs UCLA, Thursday, 9 pm
I have a soft spot in my heart for Jared Goff. I have been singing his praises since I saw him shred the Buckeyes in Columbus West for 371 yards and three touchdowns. With that said, Cal is not a top 25 team no matter how many times I am told they are. Problem is UCLA is not very good either so that is awesome for us college football fans. This is going to be a shoot-out and totally worth staying up for. This is easy to say coming from the guy where this game starts at 2 pm.
Prediction: 45-37, UCLA
Indiana vs Michigan State, Saturday, 3:30 pm
I have a weird feeling about this game. Not enough to put money on but I think Michigan State is going to come out and play incredibly flat. That win last week was amazing and it will be hard to come back with the same effort a week later against Indiana. We know Indiana can play unmotivated teams to the end and I think this is one of those cases. I think in the end Connor Cook will be able to shred the IU defense but I would not be shocked at all if MSU lost this one.
Prediction: 34-21, MSU
Texas Tech vs Oklahoma, Saturday, 3:30 pm
If you want a high scoring affair, this may be your huckleberry to pass time until it gets closer to the Buckeye game. Texas Tech is averaging 49.4 pts per game and Oklahoma is averaging 40 points per game. On the defensive side of the ball, Oklahoma has the best defense in the Big 12 and Texas Tech has the second worst.
Prediction: 65-42, Oklahoma
Florida State vs Georgia Tech, Saturday, 7 pm
In the preseason, this game was marked as possibly the game of the year in the ACC. Florida State was ranked 10th and Georgia Tech was ranked 16th. With possible wins against Notre Dame and Clemson on their resume, Georgia Tech was expected to be riding high into this game. Instead, they have lost five straight and are struggling mightily so why is this game so important? Georgia Tech has nothing to lose and the triple-option is a complete pain in the rear end to prepare for. This is another chance for an undefeated team to go down.
Prediction: 28-17, FSU
Texas A&M vs Mississippi, Saturday, 7 pm
So you have one hour before the Buckeyes come on. You aren’t interested in FSU vs GT and you need to kill an hour. Try this game out and watch probably the most exciting player in the nation, true freshman Christian Kirk. Urban Meyer wanted this guy bad and he chose to go to TAMU and it seems to be working out for him. Watch him run circles around the Ole Miss defense and just think about how he would look in the Ohio State offense.
Prediction: 37-34, Ole Miss
Utah vs USC, Saturday, 7:30 pm
Utah is the nation’s darling right now and deservedly so. They have wins against tough Michigan, Oregon, Cal, and Arizona State squads. USC, on the other hand, is a complete mess right now. They have lost three of the last four but they played Notre Dame tough last week. If Utah can pull of the win in Southern California on Saturday night they will have a pretty easy route to the Pac-12 championship game. Their toughest match-up left on their schedule would be a home game against UCLA on November 21st. Will Utah be able to keep up their improbable run or will USC play the spoiler?
Prediction: 24-21, USC
