What Sports Would You Never Miss?

NBA
WNBA

That's it, I am either a fan of or have a casual interest in watching just about every other sport on TV, but I loathe professional basketball.

Why the fuck are there 16 playoff teams in a 30 team league? How can people not see the flaw in a playoff system that allows teams with 42-40 records to advance to the postseason? The NBA postseason is entirely too long, and the regular season is completely disinteresting to me now that the majority of NBA games are nothing more than street ball/slam dunk contests ...

So tell me, is it not travelling when you tuck the ball under your armpit provided your intent is to eventually dunk?

All the "made for TV" sports that ESPiN pioneered. World's strongest man, many of the X-sports, the endless poker games, etc. "Wow, Brett, that was AWESOME. You saw it right here on ESPiN folks, a 720-three barrel deal on that poker hand, and he played it into the wind. Tell the viewers how it felt and what you were thinking while we play back the instant replay." YAWN. Meanwhile, a really good football game could be broadcast live.

Bring on the age of internet TV!

First of all, figure skating is not a sport. I have a hard time believing that any event in which a judge awards points, as opposed to a person/team scoring them, should be considered a sport. Therefore, I would not be opposed to banning all of them. Additionally, with particular regard to figure skating, we all know that fags are not athletic, so the logical assumption is that figure skating can in no way, shape, or form be considered a sport. In fact, anything and everything that those flaming homo's do should be banned, and all the participants drug out in the street and shot (not that there is anything wrong with that, though).

Nascar sucks worse than a Hoover.

All soccer teams and players should be deported to Europe, where they can at least claim to play "football", thereby increasing their popularity and self-confidence

NHL is ok, especially live.

The NBA is completely pointless, and I find it humorous that nobody cares about these people who make millions of dollars until they rape someone.

The WNBA would be better if it was more like that women's sport where strippers put on roller skates and then fight.

That's all for now.

I can't believe no one has said golf.
It is boring to be there live, TV just makes it more so.
As I have said, I would rather watch hunting and fishing, rather than the NBA.

I watch college football, the NFL and some boxing. I watch the March Madness scores. I spent more time watching the draft this weekend than I have sports since the super bowl.

As a kid I was a big tribe fan and watched back a few years ago when they strong.

Must sees:
Buckeye football games
All the games from the sweet sixteen and on in March Madness
Masters, especially if Tiger is contending.
Superbowl
UFC Cage matches and won't pass up Pride and the others when on.
Certain Boxers
Tribe when in the playoffs
Some NBA playoffs depending on the teams involved.
During the season, I follow the NBA and MLB in print.

I've made my feelings known on other threads, but just for the record:

I stopped watching NBA about the time they started allowing full contact defense, palming the ball and steps. It was no longer the game I played as a kid.

I stopped watching baseball when the games stretched out to four hours aand Steinbrenner started buying championships.

I've cut way back on NFL football because I can no longer stay up to see the finish of MNF and go to work the next day, because we get the Bungles ... well only half the home games cause they don't sell out very often, because the second game is always the frickin' Cowboys or some New York team.

I still watch a lot of college football but I've even lost interest in March Madness for many of the same reasons I stopped watching the NBA.

So is gymnastics not a sport?

I would say no. I agree with the statement that when judges make the decision of who wins an event it is not a sport. I think gymnastics, figure skating, and diving are athletic competitions, but they are not sports.

Anyway, to the original question:

Soccer
WNBA
NBA (I haven't missed it over the last 5 years)
Any sport involving a car or machine

I agree, I was just playing devil's advocate.

I think gymnastics is just an excuse for a bunch of overgrown HOMOS to prance around in tights.
