What Song Takes You Back

  • What song when you here it immediately takes you back to a certain place and time and awesome memories!

For me, it’s Wheel in the Sky. ‘78’ Had it on eight track. Parking with Terra in my big Oldsmobile’s back seat and going for glory. You may have more than 1, but this hits me every time I hear it.

Speaking of songs that remind me of girls, this song was popular when I had my first "real" girlfriend and to top it off we had just moved to the desert by the Colorado river and she was just as tan as this girl. Every time I watch this video I relive that summer.

This is another song that stuck in my head for a stupid reason. We had moved to the south bay of Los Angeles when I was small and rain was rare. One morning it was raining so hard that we couldn't walk to school and my father had to give us a ride. For some odd reason I remember this song playing in the car on the way to school. I remember thinking that it was The Beatles

Geez, rain in SoCal? Thought the song, "Never rains in Southern California" was a true thing, Dubs. Probably showing my age, but Peter, Paul and Mary stuff still resonates, plus Mamas & Papas, and of course, Simon & Garfunkle. Drifters as well (sang Scotch & Soda to daughter to get her asleep). And always enjoy Led Zepplin's Jimmy Page solos. Fleetwood Mac holds a fond place in my heart, mostly Stevie's solos. Not as talented as you guys, to be able to put album covers up....

Hard rains are so uncommon that 50 years later I still remember the time I needed a ride to school instead of walking. Also kind of interesting how nowadays you never see kids walking to school but from 5 years old and up I was was expected to walk this route to and from school every day.
