What plays in Buckeye History rank with the Scoop ‘n Sawyer, aka The Texas JackSaw Massacre?

That, to me, is a play that exemplifies determination and a relentless desire to win. Mo was such an amazing player, it's a shame the trappings of success and fame temporarily derailed his life. I'm so happy he turned his life around the way he has and that he's being welcomed back into the Buckeye family. He did incredible things on the field, then incredibly dumb things off of it; but he did not let that define him. As a fellow Warren boy, Mo, Korey Stringer, and Boom will always hold a special place in my heart.
It has to be on the top 10 list for sure, if he gives up on that play I would venture to guess (and think most will agree) we don't win the title even though that was early on in the game.

MoC made some huge mistakes obviously, but there are three things that really bring joy to my heart with his story. First, coming out of prison and just scraping at every inch to rebuild his life is incredible and inspiring. Second, Tressel never quit on MoC and was instrumental in his recovery...JT cared about the person over the player and he put words into action there and never gets mentioned by most for helping MoC after he would obviously never play for OSU again. Third, I love that MoC has come back to the OSU brotherhood and has been embraced with open arms. Such a positive for him and the program as well.
Easily in my top 10 plays
Not sure how I forgot to list that one. It took the rest of the half to unwrinkle my brain on that spin move, then the pure speed to not miss a beat after the spin. I was with our local alumni club and it was a look of disbelief more than celebratory at first.
Some huge plays from 2006, in the only #1-vs-#2 matchup in The Game.

Beanie about 1:33 in. Teddy from TE at 1:52. Pittman at about 2:32. Eminem audio NSFW.

Was thinking of all of these plays when this thread started. Beanie's run was up there, absolutely critical at that point in the game and I can tell you C Deck was rocking. But same goes for Teddy's TD, so it's tough to differentiate. I saw the Pittman TD when I was walking down to the bathroom and was going nuts in the isle. Everyone kept chanting "#1 AGAINST THE RUN!" to ttun fans that obnoxiously chanted it all day before and during the game a fight almost broke out over it.

Really that game was just about as epic as could be, I don't think I'll ever be at another game like that one.

This is my winner. As I perused that list of glorious moments it is the one I visualized instantly in bright clear color. Cie Grant streaking towards Dorsey is an image I will never lose. It comes to mind instantly when I think of that season and the championship game. And it’s a winner because I’ve seen that replay fewer times than a lot of the other ones on this list.

Holy Buckeye walked so that the Dorsey Destruction could run.

Yeah, you can watch it again:

#1 is indisputable but other than that, it’s a lot of fun to remember them and debate ranking them.
I’m willing to dispute it. Holy Buckeye definitely saved that game and kept the dream season alive. But the team still needed to beat Illinois in OT and win The Game before playing for the title.

Sawyer’s play was in a playoff semifinal, and not only prevented a game-tying chance, it was a turnover and an 83-yard score to basically seal a victory. For me, it definitely ranks higher than Zeke’s dagger run against Bama and it’s my top Buckeye play ever.

But it’s certainly a more enjoyable topic than ’most painful loss’, which gets revisited more than necessary,

I think it’s in the eye of the beholder.

Maybe we’ve gotten spoiled over time but in the moment, the way things had gone for my lifetime up to that moment…..there has been no single play that made me feel like Holy Buckeye did.

Pure, unadulterated joy for the first time in my Buckeye experience (thanks Coop you fucking cocksucker). Something finally went our way.

When I think back, and try to remember the feeling it’s only Holy Buckeye. Sawyer and Zeke won us a NC (basically) on a single play and I was jumping up and down for sure but Holy Buckeye (and beating Iowa in ‘85) gave me hope.

The miserable sonofabitch in between had damn near extinguished that in me so Holy Buckeye took it back.

Lots of great things happened post Holy Buckeye but it was the OG. You don’t ever remember one like your first one (unless you are @Thump mom and so many have come ((pun intended)) and gone you can’t remember your first one).
