Jim Leyland, former manager of the Pirates, never sold his house in Pittsburgh. When Wannstedt was at Pitt Leyland was with the Marlins then Detroit, but he always wintered back in Pittsburgh. They both went to the same church.

When Pryor started to blow up, they walked out of a Sunday mass one morning and Wannstedt says Leyland promptly lit up a cigarette and says, "Dave, do you think this Terrelle Pryor kid can throw it?" Leyland then demonstrates a proper throwing motion on the church steps with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth. Wannstedt assures Leyland Pryor is a game changer and he's been recruiting him since he was about 8 or 9 years old. Leyland kind of dismissed his assessment, which Wannstedt thought was peculiar.

So Wannstedt leaves church and immediately calls an all-staff meeting to evaluate Pryor's mechanics. His QB Coach, Matt Cavanaugh, who has like six Super Bowl rings as a player and coach, insists Pryors mechanics are fine and they can turn him into a real thrower and QB prospect. Wannstedt then kinda cuts off the story and says Pryor was a great college QB, but he obviously should have hired Jim Leyland as his QB coach.

Lol I could see that being a Tigers fan. Though I feel like Leyland would be cigar not a cigarette cause that's just how the old man rolled

If the Buckeyes beat either Stanford or ND I'll be happy. Don't really care about the playoffs.

And of course it's already been a good year as Ohio State beat TTUN for the 4th straight year!

***Pundits*** have been sayin' if 'Bama wins, Saban could go Pro ... again ... as he will have nothing left to prove in college football. Plus w/Smart leaving he may have to replace his entire staff if others join Smart at GA. This would make every other SEC team extremely happy!

I'm getting drunk as fuck and dancing with wifey in the garage. Surrounded by National Championship banners that will always hang in the garage. Live every moment, because it passes by very quickly and you don't know when it will return.
