The Zimmerman trial has made me more racially sensitive,,in the area I live in ..you hit a woman whatever the reason you usually are in trouble. Carlos is from a totally different area and culture..so I will let the legal system there work it out. But as I said before, Hyde's tOSU career is in the hands of Judge Urban.

This is a terrible post on several different levels. You're "usually" in trouble when you hit a woman whatever the reason in your community? That doesn't really sound like a standard at all. And then to imply that the African American community has a different set of standards than to "usually" be in trouble- whatever "being in trouble" even means, is beyond crazy.

I really hope this isn't a serious post. How did the Zimmerman trial in any way make you racially sensitive and what does it have to do with the culture and hitting women? If and when the news comes out that he didn't hit this woman, how did Carlos' culture effect him? My head just exploded.

And I'll bite and join the clucking just because I like conversation and Zimmerman up there has me riled up. I forget most Ohio law since I live in VA now but most misdemeanors including simple assault that occur outside police presence is usually handled with a report and suspect info (if known) given to the victim to take out warrants. Not much investigation involved unless multiple witnesses step forward or the suspect himself says "Yeah, I did it." Especially if she wasn't hurt and no physical evidence is present. It's not domestic and something has to be done. At that time it's her word against his and I won't even get into the legal system and it's leniency on women. Now with the video evidence showing Carlos not hitting the girl and if the girl in fact hit him, she should be charged with an assault (permitting Carlos wants to press charges). Do the circumstances change since she's a cops kid and he is a high profile athlete in the area? [Mark May] yes. Should it? [censored] no. Will she get charged with assault if she's seen as the assailant? No. Should she? Yes.

Edit: Above post about neither being interviewed pretty much seals the deal with this whole issue being bullshit or a huge misunderstanding. I'll go with bullshit.
