This is my Saturday to get caught up on chores around the house since there is no OSU game and Notre Dame doesn’t play until the evening.
But here at tBBC we are never idle. So while OSU takes a break, we bring you a national edition of the often-duplicated, but never imitated What Do You Want To See?
Scott
Irish eyes smiling: Let’s see Notre Dame roll into Philly and make cheesesteak out of Temple.
Upset special: Maybe NC State over Clemson; Texas Tech over Okie State; Washington State over Stanford and Minnesota over TTUN (win for Coach Kill).
A kick on the grass: A win by the Centerville Elks over the Elder Panthers in a district final soccer game. Elk Pride Never Dies.
WVa Buckeye
Let the Owls be real: Temple is already the surprise success story of the college football season. Think fans still took them lightly after the Penn State upset. Hope the 7-0 Owls take down Notre Lame.
Little Brown Jug: Minnesota wins about every five years on average in the battle for the fragile jug. It won in Ann Arbor last year and needs to rebound the week before the Buckeyes. Here’s to gophers eating some Wolverine tar tar.
ACC what?: It’s a weekend of actual important football, not basketball, in the conference for probably the first time and it involves the basketball schools too. Duke should hold pat against The U, and Pitt vs. UNC will go along way to decide a conference champion.
Mike
Non Power 5 to thrive: Temple, Memphis and Houston win to stay undefeated. With a Houston win that would be three SEC teams tp go down to non Power 5 schools in 2015 (let’s not forget the Toledo Rockets handing Bret the Hog a loss earlier this year). I really think it’s good for CFB and shows some parity.
Leach Field: I would love to see Stanford go down to Washington St at Martin Stadium just to hear the Mike Leach interview after the game.
Caddyshack: Where the gopher always wins.
Ken
Go West, young men: American Athletic Conference West teams Houston and Memphis remain undefeated. Let’s see them stay that way.
Competence: I’d love to see Nebraska (3-5) and Purdue (1-6) play a fundamentally sound game. Maybe that explains the noon kickoff.
Patrick
Keep the Little Brown Jug: I’d love to see Minnesota beat TTUN but it’s probably a pipe dream. I don’t think the Gophers have the offense to score on TTUN.
Upset alert: How about a few upsets this weekend, say … the Owls over the Crying Irish.
Perfection: Iowa can keep its dreams of Indianapolis alive with a win over Maryland.
Cannon Crew: Hoping the members of the Cannon Crew (from their home in New Jersey) get a few more opportunities to stuff, plunge, and fire the cannon.
Joe
Win won for Kill: Jerry Kill stepped down on Wednesday and the Gophers have a tough task on Saturday against Michigan. I hope that Minnesota goes out there and wins for its coach.
Go East, young men: What would make Ken’s hope for an undefeated Memphis and Houston better? An undefeated Temple too as we inch closer to the AAC championship game. I’m with Doty. The coaching in the AAC has already proven the parity in college football. I hope that this weekend takes it to another level.
SEC scrambled: I’m with Patrick … let’s see some upsets! Even better than your ordinary upset? How about a handful of SEC upsets? Like South Carolina over Texas A&M, Georgia over Florida, and Auburn over Ole Miss.
Michael
A Minnesota win: I know it’s not likely but it would be sweet to see Minnesota beat TTUN.
Little guys keep winning: Temple, Houston, Memphis. Keep it going. Keep winning.
Another kick-6: Seriously. I love those plays! Most exciting play in football now. Need more kick-6.
J.C.
A Minnesota win over TTUN: My fingers are crossed. I would be in football heaven.
The little guys keep winning: Temple, Houston, Memphis, and Toledo. But I think this weekend I want to see Duke hand Miami another loss. Generally speaking I am not a Blue Devils fan (especially in basketball) but I have a “true” dislike of the Miami Hurricanes. A Duke win would be nice this weekend (second to Minnesota upsetting TTUN).
Hot Knicks: Though upsets in the SEC is always appetizing, or a few other things in college football, like Jimbo Fisher maybe scrambling angrily in front of the microphones for the world to see, but I want to see the Knicks win, win, win. They opened on Thursday with a 25-point win against Milwaukee and played again Thursday night against Atlanta. Then they are back at it today against Washington. Wouldn’t it be nice to see the Knicks start the season 3-0? Give it to me. A guy can want, right?
Brandon
100 combined points: Between TCU and West Virginia. By the time you read this we will all know if I got my wish. Either way, I’m looking forward to a fun game.
A top 10 team go down: Whether it is Clemson, or Notre Dame is not any of my concern. I just want chaos.
