I make my own burritos at home and I usually just use carne/pollo asado, some avocado and some hot green salsa. I like mine simple and easy. The key is getting the tortillas while they're still hot from the panaderia down the street.

Chipotle to open first ever burger restaurant in Lancaster

Chipotle is branching out from burritos and plans to open its first burger restaurant.

A spokesman for the chain, Chris Arnold, said in an email Thursday that the company's first Tasty Made burger restaurant will open in this fall in Lancaster, Ohio. Chipotle says the menu will be limited to burger, fries and milkshakes.

The move comes at time when Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. already has its hands full trying to recover from an E. coli outbreak and norovirus cases sent sales plunging starting last fall. The company has been giving away coupons for free burritos and stepping up marketing to win back customers, but sales were still down 24 percent at established locations in the second quarter.

I eat almost anything (raw sea urchin is my one thing I don't eat, seriously), and I have become "used" to cilantro, but generally Chipotle tastes boring to me.

Having had the "real" thing made locally for years now, I have been spoiled.. A fresh made shrimp burrito or taco is my favorite. With green chili sauce of course!
But I know Chipotle is very popular and "healthy".

There really is a genetic tic that makes cilantro taste like soap to some people. I told people it tasted like that to me forever before it became a known thing.

At the same time, it doesn't taste horrible or anything, if there isn't too much of it it isn't noticeable, at least for me.

Compared to most fast food, it's a pretty good deal and tastes pretty decent, but the minute you find other burrito chains, it tastes like blah.
