What did you get the kids of the family for gifts?

any chance you gals could be a little more specific than "linky thingies".. tough doing research on "linky thingies"
 Made sense to me...

Nasty mentioned Magnetix... but there's also another brand called GeoMag, which I've heard is better quality... I don't think they can be used together - they're different sizes, I think.

I think Buck Nasty had it right. Otherwise, try searching for doohickies, thingerboppers, whatchamajiggers, and whatzits.

Edit - looking at the pictures in Google, I think it was Geomag.

Oh... and Nasty's point about younger kids swallowing magnets is a good one. In my case, the two-year-old belongs to a different brother than the four-year-old, but it's probably not a good idea to have these in a home with small children.

Magnetix actually had a pretty big recall on some of their products last spring because some kid died after swallowing some magnets. Apparently, the magnets can easily fall out. I don't know if they've changed the design since then or not. But... I also think the child that died was below the appropriate age for the toy, so as long as the kids are old enough, it shouldn't be a problem.

So ... uh ...

Knight's Kingdom LEGOs, Star Wars action figures, Hot Wheels racetracks and cars, some PS2 games, a little electric guitar w/ mic & amp, an electronic bowlercade, Pokemon cards, and a new bicycle.

Yes. He's spoiled.

That's hot these days right?

Thought about either a Commodore or an Atari 2600 as well.

I still have my ColecoVision with the Donkey Kong Jr cart. I've got an Atari 2600 with the joysticks and the paddles, but I don't have any games for it anymore - I loaned them to a friend when I was in 2nd or 3rd grade and never got any of them back.

I miss Pitfall.
