I would remind you that the Browns won the World Championship before the Bengals were even born. That there was no Super Bowl does not lessen the fact that they were the premier team in professional football as proven on the field in post season contests. 1946 - 1949 Champions of the AAFC, half of whom went on to be NFL teams including the 49ers and Colts. Blew out the two time NFL Champion eagles in their first NFL game 35 - 10. NFL Champs in 1951, 1954, 1955, and 1964.

One of the biggest crimes in professional football stats is that the records from those games were never accepted by the NFL. Had they been Otto Graham and Lou Groza would still be at the top or near the top of the all time passing and kicking records.
