Beyond Belief, Elaine Pagels. Pretty decent read. Interesting study of non-conformist theology by someone with a genuine academic pedigree instead of a new age hack.

Pagels is great. I've been through a few of her books, they never disappoint.

Now that isn't a bad idea at all.....hmmmmm. Would certainly be more interesting than my dissertation topic: how the concpetion of the "ultimate" informs how traditional-aged college students make meaning of their vocation identity.
