Well thank you my good man! I appreciate the personal note and will make a point to look into it ... although admittedly I did spend 20+ hours listening to siriusXm “The Bridge” on a family road trip this month and so have been in a very Mellow. Classic. Rock. sort of place lately.Hell of a read. I’ve noticed that we tend to like similar music, and while his book is mostly about other stuff, I think you’d like it.
Mostly not King's normal paranormal/supernatural stuff, which is good in this case as it keeps him from some of his normal crutches and tropes. They're nothing groundbreaking, but they're entertaining and keep your attention.
Yeah, that book was written in 1996. He recently released another book with McEvoy as the main character, Fair Warning, it was pretty good.
Good story, but the tech was hilariously dated. The protagonist carries a laptop that he is constantly plugging into the phone line, they talk about needing a "double hard drive" to store 500 digital pictures and how it takes about 4 minutes to transfer and download one picture over the internet.
