Well thank you my good man! I appreciate the personal note and will make a point to look into it ... although admittedly I did spend 20+ hours listening to siriusXm “The Bridge” on a family road trip this month and so have been in a very Mellow. Classic. Rock. sort of place lately.

Picked up Dune from the library (or as it pronounce it to anger my wife - liebury). This should be an interesting read.

Mostly not King's normal paranormal/supernatural stuff, which is good in this case as it keeps him from some of his normal crutches and tropes. They're nothing groundbreaking, but they're entertaining and keep your attention.
Kinda, sorta quasi sequel to the above? In the same world at the very least with one character crossover. Maybe the best of the bunch. It was hard to put down once I got going, as evidence by finishing in a week despite having two kids 5 and under.

This was the book I had attempted to read the most amount of times without success, or even getting past page 30 for that matter. (Now Dante's Inferno holds that title).
Captain Ahab greeting every other ship with "Have you seen the white whale?" reminds me of Ohio State fans on social media: "Have you seen Tommy Togiai in Miami?"

Finished Hillbilly Elegy a couple of months ago then watched the Netflix movie. The movie is good but misses all of the deeper messages from the book. If you have family from Eastern Kentucky then you will probably like the book.
My Dad's side is from Breathitt County, same county the author's family is from, so it hit home a little more than I expected it to. Don't buy the anger from one side of our politics. The book talks a bit about how hillbillies and people in the inner city have similar issues keeping them from getting out of the poverty cycle.
Also, it was always known as Middletucky for a reason.

Good story, but the tech was hilariously dated. The protagonist carries a laptop that he is constantly plugging into the phone line, they talk about needing a "double hard drive" to store 500 digital pictures and how it takes about 4 minutes to transfer and download one picture over the internet.

Yeah, that book was written in 1996. He recently released another book with McEvoy as the main character, Fair Warning, it was pretty good.
