What Are Your Super Bowl Plans?

The wife works Super Bowl Sunday, which is no big deal as I am not that excited about the game. I might be able to get the boys to watch two minutes of the game. If they dressed the players up as Teen Titans I would do better.

We'll probably make something special, eat junk food and have a good time.

I don't know if it will happen again this year but we had a bit of a Super Bowl party last year and at halftime I held the first annual "Super Bowl halftime challenge" which consisted of removing all the furniture out of the living room, putting down tape on the carpet for a goal line and scrimmage zones and then bringing the action of super bowl sunday right into the home. We gathered a pool of money and gave a scrawny guy from highschool five chances to break the plane with me playing defense. I had fifty pounds on the guy and had the advantage of playing organized football for 8 years versus his 0 so yeah, he didn't score. I'm hoping somebody else steps up to defend the goal line this year.

wearing the same clothes that i have worn for the past few Sunday's, going to my parents house, sitting on the same chair in the same position as it has been for the entire playoff run.... I'm so glad that I'm not one of the superstitious freaks....

The wife and I are trying to get tickets to the game through her work. My sister-in-law lives just North of Detroit, so our thinking is that this would be the most economical way for me to ever go to a Superbowl especially with the Steelers (my favorite NFL team) playing in it. Only a 3 hour drive there and back, the tickets would be purchased for face value ($600-$700 each), and we wouldn't need to pay for a hotel room or baby sitter.

If we can't get the tickets (we should know sometime today) then I'll watch it in my basement.
