What are you doing while on Shelter-In-Place/Lockdown?

I played this quite a bit yesterday....

They forgot "I'll give you # minutes back" when the meeting ends early. I had one yesterday with a handful of guys from the UK where one guy kept cutting out for 10-20 seconds pretty much every time he talked. Not sure how I made it through that one.

Could easily win coverall every day. These are too on point. :smash:

Which one of you guys did this?

Had a meeting this morning at work or whether or not our 5-man IT contractor team could telecommute. Basically since the Navy can't/won't open up our servers to the outside world other than VPNs, and we can't VPN with government-issued laptops, and there aren't enough laptops to issue to us, we can't...but luckily we were deemed "essential enough" to continue to come in. Had we been held to the strict definition of "mission-essential" we would've been locked out of the building and essentially laid off since we can't telecommute. I wouldn't want to work from home anyways...
Welp, yesterday morning around 9:00 am our N5 (Navy Department Head) came to our area and asked why we are at work. We told him that we hadn't been directed to stay home and telework because we cannot access what we need to from home. He said, "Well you need to log off, get your stuff and go home. Now." After he left, the N52 (our Division Head and who works for N5) came out from his office and told us to stay put while he talked to the contract POC. Fast forward to about 1:30 pm (when our N52 still hadn't figured out what the fuck to do despite being on the phone for four hours) the N5 comes back down, sees us still sitting there, and proceeds to tell us all to essentially "Get the fuck out...NOW!" Not quite those words, but damn close. The N52 then came out and the N5 asked why we were still here, to which the N52 said something along to lines of no guidance from the contract POC. The N5 said that he just gave us our guidance.

So, here I am at home, essentially doing nothing but completing on-line courses for our annual 40-hour requirement set by the Navy. But, hey, if they want to pay me for sitting at home and taking classes, fuck it, so be it.

Work from home, I have dumbells and kettle bells for working out, and doing some online classes. Wife and kids are home with me so that sucks.
Just started knocking out some of my 40 annual hours of Navy-mandated CEUs via FedVTE. Will probably jump on my bike on the turbo trainer for about 30 minutes in a little bit. Luckily, no wife or young 'uns to deal with.

My customer base is mostly hospitals and colleges. I work from home. My company had us stay home starting the second week of March, so this is my second week of doing mostly nothing. What do I do every day, play golf and then cook a big meal for my family.

Hiking and walking the neighborhood and stopping to talk(at a social distance)with my neighbors. We all appreciate a little laugh and share Senior Shopping Secrets! Eating too much! Binge watching Netflix. Talking to family on the phone and E-mail. Next thing up will be some cool weather biking along the Rio Grande Gorge.

This is the first time in years, maybe 12 years, that we’ve been able to regularly sit down for dinner together during the week. Between kid’s activities and coaching I don’t know that we’ve had a full week of dinners together outside of vacations since they were very young.

We’ve all been taking turns cooking. Well, the three of us who don’t mind cooking. The fourth one who doesn’t care to cook picks pizza or some other take out on his days.

But from a family time perspective, it’s been enjoyable.
