What are you doing for Thanksgiving?

I'm going to do this at Thanksgiving - Be thankful I am a Buckeye, we beat Michigan, that we are 11 and 1 with a Bowl Game to look forward to.

We have no serious health issues on the team other than a few pumps and bruises and that our future is bright.

:oh:

Going to My GF"S Grandma & Grandpa's house for thanksgiving, since this will probably be there last one here on Earth.
ladyB is cooking me lamb, doing a different thing instead of the traditional, but still going to watch NFL.

Mmmmm!!

Lamb it's what is very good for dinner.

Ask her to have a side of - and this will sound odd, but it flat out works - beef gravy.

(Plus yer mint sauce, made spicy ).

In the spirit of the thread -

We are going with:

Thanksgiving Day -

Green Bean Casserole - the ingredients to which are a state secret I believe, tastes wonderful

Turkey - topped with Center Cut Bacon, moist delicious

Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Made from Scratch Mac & Cheese - a family favorite, 3 cheeses, two of them sharp - the dish, immaculate.

For Football time - Black Bean Chili

The next day --- sandwiches to stave of the starving horde who cannot wait for

Prime Rib Roast

Yorkshire Pudding

Gravy

Roast Potatoes - if we're feeling sly, they are fingerlings - if not, the small Russets not made into mash potatoes the day before.

Lashings of Au-Jus gravy ...

Saturday -

Remember the Chili?

Remember that wonderful Mac & Cheese?

Anyone for Sandwiches?

Dinner of Salmon or Tilapia - Not decided on that yet, have to wait for the market's best.

Snap Peas

Rice with Onions and Bacon Bits

Sunday -

Are the guests still here?

Oh, that was the piece of left over salmon?

Better rustle up some turkey sandwiches for the road. Don't want them to run out of gas on the way back :)

Since urban sprawl has all but eliminated all natural predators the deer had to deal with, hunting is an absolute must.

Animal rights groups fail to see that. Go five years without hunting and we wouldn't be able to keep a crop safe from the bastards.

I agree 100% with you! These clowns feed them in their backyards & shit!
Some day they MIGHT understand but I have my doubts!
Good Luck to all hunters!

My next door neighbor and myself are deep frying some 8 to 10 turkeys for the people on our street. We are going to start about 10 am or so and its
a great thing to do. Deep fryed Turkeys are great tasting and we find they are not as dry as oven baked Turkeys are. But some of the wives in the Cul-de-sak are ganging up on our theory. Plus they are pissed off at some of the hubbys for turning it into a "Turkey Tail Gate Party":biggrin:
