What are you doing for New Year's Eve?

The Most Power-Drunk
Wondering how many different things BPers have in store for New Year's Eve. I am apparently going to a bar (Gallow's?) where it's all you can eat and drink for $50. Only been there once before, but it was for the Indiana game on my b-day, so hopefully the karma remains...and besides, it was my wife's call.

Is that on Bethel? Gallows Tap Room? If it's the same place I'm thinking of there's a pretty nice bartender there named Molly. I don't think she's working that night though. That is a nice bar though. Good beer selection and nice people.

I think I'm just gonna stay home and celebrate with friends. I won't have to make Thump worry about if I'm getting a DUI and it's a lot cheaper.

My brother's wife and my wife are insisting we all go to a party where we have to dress up to represent some event from the past year. Great... My brother is going as Pope John Paul and I'm dressing as King Fahd. Needless to say, I think I'll be plastered by 9:00, so I'm not completely annoyed by everyone there.

I'm heading to Las Vegas tonight. Going to be staying at Caesar's Palace. Going to catch a few shows (Cirque du Soleil's O & Tony and Tina's Wedding).

The only bad part about it is that I'm flying back on Monday and might miss part of the Fiesta Bowl. My flight leaves at 9:00 P.M. eastern time. However, I'll need to be at the airport extra early seeing how Vegas is so busy during New Year's. I'll catch most of it in one of the bars in the terminal, but probably will miss most of the 4th quarter.

This is the first year I haven't worked on new years eve. I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I'd probably just go to the brazenhead in Dublin or the lazy chameleon in Powell.

also for those going out a little heads up. I got this in an email this morning

There are sobriety check points going

1. Open Christmas presents from/to the wife (she likes to do ours separately from the gifts from/to family that we open at her parents, we were there late this Christmas, and she needs an "occasion" to open them).

2. Do a multi-course prix fixe (w/ a few options for each course) dinner at a fancy Italian restaurant.

Heading to my fiance's friend's house in North Canton. You know the friends that have so much money they don't know what to do with it? They have a 4 bedroom home but have no plans for kids. So they have an annual party with about 20 friends. We drink heavily, watch football on his big screen, throw darts drunk (now that is fun and challenging at 2am) and maybe a poker game breaks out and worse yet stupid drunk group games (Cranium & etc.)

He takes everyone's keys and no one leaves til morning since everyone has their own bedroom or has room on his 6 couches spread around the house. Then at 10am/11am they cook breakfast and we start watching bowl games... but that will change to NFL games for this year.

Nice bar...I might be attending with some friends this year. I'll let you know for sure later.
