'The Office' reruns from when the show was actually awesome.

Can someone please explain when the cutoff was between awesome and now? I started watching last season and watched the first 5 over the summer and I don't see the huge dropoff that everyone talks about.

I just watched the paintball episode of Community on my DVR and I can't wait for Thursdays on NBC to come back. Outsourced looks like it has potential.

The year with Angela turning into a horny teenage girl, Jim being busy with boss stuff instead of being funny particular at dwights expense, and the general shift from mockumentary to a sitcom dominated by romances.

Jim and Pam used to spend all of their energy mocking, pranking and undermining Michael or Dwight. Now both are so obsessed with their new careers that those pursuits are often forgotten. They replaced pranks with awkward failures by Jim and Pam not being good in their new roles.

Pranks like Quad desk used to happen in every episode in the first year or two. Now it is a rare treat.

Pam used to be a great secondary character, needling Michael for his immaturity and helping to mess with Dwight. Now her character is no longer about humor but rather romance, motherhood, and becoming a salesman. There are exceptions like the sales call with Andy, but by and large she is a shell of her old role in the comedy.

But the worst part about her promotion is Erin. Her character is painfully awkward and over the top. She has little personality, and just giggles gleefully when Dwight is being stupid. Then there's her way too large role as a love story, which should be maybe 1-2 min every few weeks, not w focus of the show for weeks on end.
