what's so shocking about that? LLLoyd lost to the Irish LAST YEAR...

i'm not sure why, but i was suddenly reminded of the Minny game in '02... it was late, the Silver Bullets were just destroying the Gophers, and suddenly, in between plays, a tremendous cheer went up... possibly the loudest cheer of the game... the reason? the scorebord had just shown the Final of the ND-BC game, which the Irish had lost... :rofl:

As overrated as I believe Michigan to be, I believe Iowa to be moreso.

Here in Indiana, many are drinking the Charlie Weis Kool-Aid. The local paper (Indy Star) has them beating Michigan, Michigan State and Tennesee to name three. What a joke! They'll be lucky to win one of the three.

Man you've hit the nail on the head with that one, I love how the media just jumps at first sign of progress for certain teams e.i. the notre dame, they'll be lucky to make to 500 and I don't forget about about sorry, usc was just a few years back, but guess what the Ohio State Unniversity has been that constant power. Get your head out of the cloud the Buckeyes are coming.

I also went with MSU, Iowa, and tOSU. But Minny was tempting. The more they lose, the better chance they have of winning their bowl game, matchup wise.

I voted for them losing to everyone except Central Michigan.

In reality (I usually stay away from reality, it's scary), I see them losing to OSU, at Iowa (Iowa City is a tough place to play, as we learned last year), and at Michigan State. I will reserve jodgement on the bowl game (if they make one:biggrin: ) until I see who they are playing.

Swan Song for LLLoyd

ND -- for Weiss, this is the equivalent of a major bowl win. A win against scUM will please the Irish faithful and trigger long term support for Weiss. ND gives LLLoyd his first L.

tOSU -- JT knows this game could be make-or-break for the BCS/Rose Bowl. He has LLLoyd's number and will embarrass him in his own house once again. TOSU gives LLLoyd his second L.

Bowl Game -- LLLoyd's tenure will be up for review if he once again loses to tOSU ...and he will. Expect dissension from major M Club supporters, a chaotic locker room and a swan song loss for LLLoyd. Tennecheat or Texass or Louisville or somebody will give LLLoyd his third and final, career-ending L. :dead:
