    • The Buckeyes travel to Port Charlotte, Florida to take on MAC member Western Michigan in a 4 game series beginning Friday. The schedule is as follows:

    Friday, Feb 25th, 3:00 pm
    Saturday, Feb 26th, 12:00 pm
    Saturday, Feb 26th, 3:30 pm
    Sunday, Feb 27th, 12:00 pm

    The Broncos returned an experienced team (14 of 21 letter winners, 6 of 8 position players, 10 of 12 pitchers) from a squad that went 12-42 a year ago. Billy Gernon takes over the program following a 10 year stint at Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne University (IPFWU).

    In other Buckeye news, Josh Dezse was voted Big Ten Freshman of the week (Link). Drezse (Olentangy Liberty HS, Powell, OH) went 7 of 12 (.583) last week in the 3 games of the Big Ten - Big East Challenge. He also had 2 relief appearences, allowing 1 run in 3 innings against Louisville and St. Johns.
