I don't know if anyone else noticed it... but it bothered me that Maryland didn't go for 2 after they scored the second td. They had about 6 minutes left and the extra point kept it at a 3 possesion game. It seemed as if they had a defeated attitude, they kicked the onside.... and still lost, but, I would pull out every last stop untill the final whistle.

I agree, it kinda sends a bad message to the players.

I was going to say that when a game is a blowout the talking heads have a hard time sensationalizing the game and so they turn to the next best thing in their mind, praising the winner. So it is kind of understandable in a way.
But then I thought Nah, let em eat cake.

i'm rooting for the kid to pull it together. he's had a rough life. BOTH parents dead from AIDS by the time you're 12? not cool.

he's an amazing talent though. White and Slaton are just chipping along at 4 or 5 yards a pop, and then this true frosh comes in and rips off 100+ in two carries. amazing. he's a freak. that jitterbug stuff he pulls is jaw dropping.
