West Va. 14, Colorado 17 (Final, OT)

Wait. It is 4th and 2. Why would they call a timeout with 18 seconds left? You call it with 4 seconds left and go for one final play. I don't understand why they think they should have called a timeout. You call it with 18 seconds left, don't convert the 4th down, then Colorado gets the ball at midfield. I don't understand at all. ITS FOURTH DOWN!!!!! The clock doesn't matter.

They are so wrong. If they had called time outs, then they would have had to punt, or go for it on 4th down and risk losing the ball with a lot of time left on the clock. Then Colorado, with it's timeouts, could have gone down the field and gotten in field goal range. Again..it was downs that got them, not the clock.

Math is harder for some than others.

Yep. 3 announcers in the booth, and none of them could figure out that they let the clock go to 4 seconds on purpose, so they didn't get burned with the clock stopping on a change of possession with about 10 seconds left, giving Colorado 1 play and a FG attempt with the wind at their back at altitude, so a 65-yarder is possible.

That underthrown trick play was a killer for WVI. Gotta give their coaches credit for calling that at the right time, then a 3rd-string QB underthrows a wide open guy by 10 yards.

Stewart looks like WVU's Larry Coker. Nice guy, career assistant, starts with a bang using inherited players then presides over the decline of the program.
