I'm in grad school down here at vanderbilt, and knew that vanderbilt shouldn't have been getting anymore than 4 or 5 points, MAX (given -3 for playing on the road) ... their o-line outweighed wake's d-line by an average of 305 to 250, they've got a first team all SEC QB in cutler, a decent passing attack and some decent guys back there in the secondary. Wake never led till the 4th quarter, and even then vandy came right back and marched down the field pretty much at will. I was nervous at the end when vandy's d really started to bend, considering I had some realCash riding on vanderbilt straight up paying 3.5:1.
It was definately a great way to start off the season, and it got me to thinking ... there must be a bunch of people on this board who follow (or at the very least are aware of teams outside the big 10, and can spot really bad lines when they see them.) We should have a place where realCash wagering tips on favorable lines should go ... maybe in the "gaming" forum? haha.
seriously though, I'm not really bigtime into betting on sports, but I can spot a bad line when I see it, and don't have any problem taking advantage of bad bookmaking. That vandy line started out a couple weeks ago at +11.5 and came all the way down to +8 by gametime and even then I'd call it a bad line, but 11.5 was terrible. I felt like telling anyone who would listen to take the points ... and vandy backed it up by playing like SHIT last night and still squeeking by with a win there.
