Time to play prognosticator. Looking up and down the schedule, a few games stand out as potential stunners. Here are 19 of them, in no specific order:

[...]

14. Utah over Michigan, Sept. 30: Sadly, it has to be on there - though a loss the next week to Miami, Ohio would shake Michigan substantially more. The Utes could rise into the Top 20 this season, and winning in the Big House would help.

13. UCLA over USC, Dec. 6: This likely won't be one of those years when USC is 11-0 and UCLA is like 4-7 going into this game. The Bruins should have a decent season, and would love to spoil the visiting Trojans' year.

12. Arizona State over Georgia, Sept. 20: Back-to-back members of the "Games You Can't Miss" list from a few days ago. There's a reason they are on there - two national title contenders could get bounced.

11. Central Michigan over Purdue, Sept. 20: After a game against Oregon, before a three-game stretch of at Notre Dame, vs. Penn State, at Ohio State ... this one has all the makings of a letdown game for Purdue, and the Chips have enough firepower to keep up.

10. Michigan State over Ohio State, Oct. 18: Do I really believe the Spartans have enough to keep up with the Bucks? No. But if OSU has a sloppy game on the road, Michigan State could steal one.

[...]

1. Duke over Miami, Oct. 18: May as well wrap it up by going way out on a limb, no? Last time at Duke, the Canes nearly choked big. Last year, they held on for a 24-14 win. Miami has a tendency to take weeks off, and the Blue Devils will be a better team in 2008.
