Week 9 Games Discussion

Utah made me change the channel to Minnesota/MSU. That lasted 5 minutes.
Is there a decent game on now?
I’m watching a quad broadcast of blowouts.

UGA 36-13 over Fla
ND 51-7 over Pitt
Texas 28-6 over BYU
Oregon 35-6 over Utah.

I might have to break out of it and watch USC-Cal.

Duke looking like pretenders now
On the surface sure

But Louisville's schedule is practically tailor-made

They got ND right after the emotional win over Duke which was right after the emotional loss to Ohio State; both games having been very physical. Then they got the Irish at Home at Night.

They got Duke at Home, one week after their own bye, which was the same Saturday that Duke played FSU.

Later, they'll play a bad (most days) UVA team on a Thursday, and then play Miami 9 days later. The 'Canes will be coming off of their game against FSU

This Louisville team gets all of their toughest opponents at a tough spot in the schedule, with 2 of the three of them at a time when the Cards are coming off more rest than the opponent.

If this schedule gets the Cards to the ACC championship game, they will get absolutely slaughtered when they get there

The thing that concerns me about this pattern, is that a dangerous Rutgers team (laugh all you want, that defense is legit) gets us at a similar place to where Louisville got Notre Dame. Buckeyes need to roll this week so that they have plenty in the tank for next week.
