I've said this before and I'll continue saying it, at what point are we going to hold QB's responsible for their own safety?

In this Okie Lite - Texas game, the Pokes QB goes into his slide so late that the DB is already in the process of lowering his shoulder to hit him.

By continuing to penalize the defense, you're encouraging QBs to forgo truly protecting themselves by sliding early and instead trying to invite the cheap penalty yards.

I'm a spirit of the law kind of guy.

We need to stop going, "aww shucks, defender is in a no win spot... Thoughts and prayers" and be more hardlined.

It's bullshit and these QBs know it, which is why they're sliding so late.

Kenny pickets fake slide is the textbook example. I know it was banned, but the spirit of abuse is still there.
