Ok so here’s another example of “don’t over think it”.

On the 3 yard line and the Penn State DB allows the WR with an easy inside release.

I’ve always thought that a DB should be positioned 1 yard inside instead of head up. Force the QB to make a perfect throw over top your DB and inside the field of play.

There’s no reason for a DB to be playing straight up there. Play inside and force a fade

#44 is an impressive player. I love how PSU uses him. But it wouldn't be as successful against a better to elite defense. I wonder how Sonny would do lining up against him and/or how Allar would do under more pressure. He's already thrown two picks.

I'm trying to wrap my head around it. Is Allar just deciding before the snap that 44 is getting the ball? Is he being told to do this, or is he not actually as good as we think?
