Week 7 Game Discussion Thread

Worst parts of today:
1. Cryami getting help from the refs
2. Sayin injury
3. scUM winning

Best
1. UGA getting beat
2. Rudy getting beat in the final seconds (and crying about the refs)
3. Blair Underwood losing his job
4. Beating IU
5. Starch embarrassing himself yet again
6. Joining and finding this message board
A scUM victory means a Pedophile loss.

There's a silver lining to every disappointment.

Yesterday was probably the worst day of reffing I can ever remember, and that’s saying a lot.

Not just the calls in the tOSU game (no DPI when JJ tackled, no hold on last Indy play, BS late hit on Mathews, and others); but the OT calls in the Cryami game were almost criminal (late BS hold wiping out a TD, no co-possession even discussed on the final play). The no-call on the last Domer play was bad, and Freeman should have complained about 1 second being left, although I thought the play clock was slow to start and that play took 4 seconds.

There was another game where a team got 2 straight first downs late and the game clock never stopped to move the chains, even for a second, I forget which game that was.

They are adding more playoff games and generating tons of money; they need better refs (perhaps full-time) and cameras on every line all the time.

The referees are killing both College and NFL. The inconsistency of calls and the game altering calls/no calls are worse than I can ever recall. There is no accountability at all which needs to change. Anytime there’s a big play for the Buckeyes whether on O or D I’m immediately looking for a flag. The games are becoming unwatchable.

The trajectory it is on its not sustainable as it is. They need fill time refs. Even if they only make $50k a year which is tip money at the strip club for too many of the highest paid folks in college football. It's worth it to improve the sport when they might be destroying it everywhere else.

People who would be these full time refs will do other work for more than 50k instead of being a ref for 50k.

Talent follows money in all walks of life.
