lol the announcers making excuses for scUM, like the IU defense is somehow good.
They rank 2nd to last in the B1G in pass defense. Only Corn is worse.
I'm not counting the numbers, but they're bottom-20 in DIA.
And they still don't trust McCarthy enough to open up their passing "attack."

In today's CFB, second year QBs routinely step in and play at a level acceptable enough to lean on them in the passing game. scUM is still hand-holding McCarthy mostly limiting him to 4-8 yard throws. If he's as good as they like to think he is, that seems a bit odd, no? Makes one wonder...is he just overrated or is their QB development still doodoo? Or, you know...both?

Yeah, Ewers is tossing it all around the field in his second year, but he did take multiple snaps for tOSU in his first season.
