...and this isn't surprising. At all.
Remember 2001 (right before their blow out losses in late in the season)
Nebraska was the program everyone envied. Ohio State was 7-5 and apart from having beaten TTUN for the first time in forever was looking and feeling really mediocre. Alabama was 7-5 and fresh off a disastrous 3-8 campaign in 2000. Either would have given anything to be where Nebraska was.
