Games that will (potentially) be affected by Hurricane Ian this weekend

LSU @ Auburn ... as of now, game likely still gets played as scheduled in Auburn. Just won't be pretty weather. How bad remains to be seen.

Eastern Washington @ Florida ... I see almost no way that game gets played in Gainesville at 11:00am Saturday. Not with Cat 2/3 like conditions hitting Gainesville overnight Friday night.

Wake Forrest @ Florida State ... Hurricane hitting campus less than 12 hours before kickoff? no chance this one isn't moved (either date or location...maybe both)

Va Tech @ North Carolina ... South Carolina State @ South Carolina ... NC State @ Clemson ... Virginia @ Duke
Likely all get played. Likely all have ridiculously bad weather (may have some lightning type delays). May be fun to tune in to some of these for entertainment values.

So jump on a lot of the Unders now before they change? hehe

pay attention to the forecast.

as we get closer to landfall, we'll know more about it's projected path and how bad it will affect those games.

hell looking at the easterly shift this morning, Tallahassee might actually be pleasant come Saturday.
but just 24 hours ago, it looked like it would be almost unplayable there.

the other thing that needs to be considered is getting visiting team in and out of these towns too.
so timing of storm may be really pretty at scheduled kickoff. but may provide difficulty for an opponent's arrival.

this is where exact path and timing will come in to play (and have effects outside of just football).
yeah, Boca Raton is likely going to safe. but depending on severity of the hit on west coast, some of their services (police, emergency responders) will be shipped toward Tampa to help. And some of their local utilities (hotels, etc) will be taken up by evacuees or people leaving after storm to get to a functional location.
Plus you have to get ECU into town (crossing the path of a hurricane to get there), and back out.

weather will be well out of Gainesville by Sunday, so that won't play a factor.
but what remains to be seen is how hard does it get hit. 2-3 days after a hurricane (even just a Cat 1) would be a very quick turnaround if the city gets a direct hit.
especially considering most efforts will be concentrated more on coast, sorta "back burner-ing" lesser hit areas that won't require the same amount of resources as Tampa will.

still no word on the NC State/Clemson game.
latest track has a tropical depression sitting right on top of Clemson, SC at kickoff.
